1. Our RJH Christmas band concert was a success.
2. At the concert, the kids that made TMEA & ATSSB Region Band were recognized by Rep. Doc Anderson. We all got really nice certificates.
3. The Rockets made it all the way to the state game, but unfortunately we lost by one point. Better luck next time.
4. School was very boring last week because all we did was study for exams.
5. This week I am taking exams. They all should be pretty easy. I have taken two so far.
6. I saw the movie Stick It and loved it!
7. The tennis party is tomorrow. I'm excited about it. I hope it is fun.
8. I can't wait for Christmas!

Mid Terms
It is almost Christmas break, and anyone in school knows what that means: mid terms. Yuck! In my opinion mid terms are even worse than finals. After finals you go straight into summer, and then by the time you are back in school you are in a new grade with new subjects and new teachers. After mid terms you get two weeks off and then you go back to do the same thing with no change whatsoever. I don't see the point in the tests anyway. We already take chapter tests and six weeks tests. We have already learned the material and taken separate tests over each unit. Then they have to torture us even more by giving huge tests over everything. And I think they enjoy it.

My New Hobby
I went to my friend Haley's birthday party last night. It was so much fun. We went to Barnes & Noble and had a scavenger hunt. My team finished first, but the team that came in second found the book that they told us to skip because no one could find it. I guess that means we didn't win. Darn! Too bad I didn't see Craig, but we couldn't ask for help anyway. I at least got to brag that he was MY friend.
After the scavenger hunt and a hot chocolate at Starbucks, we went back to Haley's house, and I discovered my new favorite hobby - scrapbooking. We each brought pictures from home, and they gave us a scrapbook and lots of pretty papers, stickers, etc. We chose papers that either matched our books or the activity or person in the picture. I made collages of paper from my scraps, and they look really pretty. I had no idea it could be so much fun to organize your pictures!

What's new in the amazing life of me
1. I recently had the honor of performing in an All-Region Band clinic and concert. It was a lot of work but rewarding all the same.
2.Thanksgiving came and went and I spent it with my family as usual. Our turkey was alive until the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. Isn't that crazy? We got it at the World Hunger Farm. I am glad he didn't have a name. Shane wasted all of his. I think it gave him a stomach ache to think about eating the giblet gravy. We went to the movie and saw "Deck the Halls." I thought it was funny.
3.I took the SAT. It was hard but I think I did ok. The math section was a killer but I didn't think the language sections were difficult.
4. I have been preparing for Christmas, and I am excited to say that my shopping is done. Not that I had much shopping to do, and, for that matter, much money but I got something for my mom and Shane.
5. I feel like crap. I have had a cold for a week. It just won't go away. I stayed home from school today and probably will tomorrow, too. Josh wanted me to post something, so I am making this sacrifice just for him.
6. The Rockin' Rockets, our high school football team, won another game last week. That means they are two games closer to winning the state championship. Shane is excited, and so am I. They are playing in New Braunfels this Friday, so I bet we won't go. Shane is in band, though, so he has to go on the bus. Go, Rockets!
7. I ate tofu for the first time ever. It was kind of weird. Interesting but weird. It was kind of spongy and like a McDonalds fake egg. It wasn't terrible, though. I might eat it again but only if Quang from the Clay Pot makes it. I don't even know if that is how you spell his name, but we went there with my Papa Jon and Poey because he is their friend.
8. I finally got to see Robert at church again. He looks awesome even though he had heart surgery. I have missed him, so I am glad he was back.
Don't I have an exciting life?
