Vanguard
I recently received an acceptance letter from Vanguard. It is a college preparatory school. I am very excited to get to be going, and I can't wait to start school there and meet lots of new people. There are also some big things I will miss from my current school. I know this is a great opportunity. I am definitely going to go for it, but I don't know what is going to happen. I must admit I'm a little nervous. Most people that know me would find this hard to believe, but it is true. Will the kids at Vanguard accept me? Will I fit in? And even more important I am going to miss my friends terribly. This sounds stupid since I will still live in the same town, but trust me there's a big difference between seeing their faces everyday and hearing their voices once a week. So I guess I have mixed emotions - mostly good but a few sad things thrown in. Then again, I guess that's life.

Something tells me you will have absolutely no problem fitting in at Vanguard. Those Vanguard kids should be worried about fitting in (and keeping up) with you.
